International Conference on Demography, Culture and Marketing (ICDCM)- December 14-16,2010
The conference aims at discussing how to integrate the fields of demography, culture, and marketing to achieve the cognitive justice. Cognitive justice refers to creation of a global order where various knowledge systems are given due importance to create balanced global order (Shiv Visvanathan, 1998, 2009). Balanced order is necessary for sustainability of organizations and society. This conference will set the direction wherein different disciplines would merge and create a new perspective for discussing ’Sustainable Society and futures'. The conference invites participation of community associated with the disciplines of population sciences, cultural studies, and marketing management.

Foundation Day 2010 - 5th September, 2010
Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar celebrated its Foundation Day on 5th September, 2010. The Institute owes its origin to a social contract between The Jesuit Society and The Government of Odisha. Since its inception on 12th October 1987, the Institute has been going from strength to strength. For the institute, it is a moment of reflection on how far it has come, and also of looking ahead to how far it has to go yet. Mr J J Irani delivered the first ever Foundation Day Lecture in 2003. Since then, this tradition has been carried on by business leaders and thinkers like Lalita Gupte , Ashok Soota, Madhur Bajaj and Sunil Kant Munjal. This year, XIM was proud to welcome Ms. Vinita Bali, MD, Britannia Industries Limited to deliver the 8th Annual Foundation Day Lecture.

Prativaada 2010 - 5th September, 2010
Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) hosted Prativaada, an intra - B school debate competition, on 4th September, 2010. Organized by the Xavier Institute of Management Association of Human Resources, XIMAHR, the theme of the event this year was 'Adapt, Adopt or Perish', and the panel of judges included Dr. Asit Mohapatra, Director HR-Textiles, Raymond Ltd, All India Management Association accredited Management Teacher, Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), and certified conductor of psychological tests like MBTI, Thomas Profiling and Predictive Index (PI); and Fr. Tony Uvary, SJ, Dean (Administration), XIMB.

Ashwamedh 2010 - 5th September, 2010
XOPS, the Operations Association of Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar (XIMB) organized its annual flagship event Ashwamedh 2010- A seminar on "Achieving Competitive Edge through Supply Chain Management." The Ashwamedh seminar was the grand finale of a series of events such as workshops, quizzes, discussions and a paper presentation competition which were conducted in the campus and over the internet based on the theme. This year too Ashwamedh witnessed a very enthusiastic participation from various B-Schools of the country.
